Christian Ministry Centre is a church that believes in Jesus, a church that connects with God and people.

Overwhelmed by the gift of salvation we have found in Jesus, we have a heart for authentic worship, are passionate about the local church, and are on mission to see God’s kingdom established across the earth.

The church I see:

is vibrant and engages with the community, proactively reaching out;

a church that understands the needs of its community;

is socially relevant BUT biblically based;

culturally sensitive and class inclusive;

a family church that minister’s to all age groups:

providing for families with young children;

supporting a vibrant passionate youth;

and honouring of its elderly.

I see a church that are confident in their God, and understand that they are forgiven, accepted, adopted, righteous, renewed and set free (Jn. 8:32,36). A church that raises up its people to release them to fulfil God’s call on their lives; to step out confidently, empowered by the Holy Spirit. The church builds disciples from within; and equips its people to reach out and meet the needs of its community with the love and hope that only comes from Jesus.

The church is strong and regularly full. A church that is a thriving, diverse community of people who gather to join together in praise and worship to God. A church where people surrendering their lives to Christ is common. A church full of healthy, mature people that have an intimate friendship with the Holy Spirit. They are humble and childlike in trust with a passion to share their faith within every circle of their life (2 Cor.5:17-21).

The church embraces the prophetic and moves in the gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor.12:8-10). Signs and wonders are not only commonplace but also the expected normal. The church is seen as a healing centre; healing physically, emotionally and spiritually. People come from around the world to minister and to receive healing (1 Pet.2:24; Mk.16:17-18; Mat.816-17).

A church that are good stewards of the property and resources that God has entrusted to us. We have enough vision to allow for future development. The church is one that will grow and be able to meet a continually growing and broadening vision. Options of expansion that could include developments like: a women’s refuge, a community center, an aged self-care facility, an early childhood center, a training center, larger auditorium or a multi purpose facility.

Finally I see a church that brings honour and glory to God in all its endeavours. We are quick to listen, slow to anger, abounding in love and ready to bear each others burdens. No person is too distant, too far gone, too broken or has broken too many things, to be a part of this house. While we are imperfect, we pursue excellence – aiming to always grow in our relationship with Jesus, to be more like him and reflect his love to a hurting world.

This is the church I see!
