CMC Bible School Information
The first session of CMC Bible School will run from the 3rd of June – 1st July. It will run for 5 weeks, on Wednesday nights 7-8pm.
It will then run during school terms on Wednesday nights.
The first session will be looking at ‘How to Read the Bible’.
We will be learning about and discussing topics that may include:
- Literary styles of the Bible
- Characters, settings, and design patterns in Biblical narrative
- The Art of Biblical Poetry and metaphors
- Psalms, the Prophets, the Law
- New Testaments letters, historical context and literary context
No matter where you are at on your journey and walk with God, we believe that positioning yourself to learn from the Bible will always result God speaking!
CMC Bible School is an opportunity for you to learn important concepts on how to study and read the Bible for yourself. You will learn how to read and interpret the Bible, in order to apply the skills to your own independent study of the Bible, as an integral part of your faith.
Learning alongside other people provides the forum for you to be challenged in your thinking, whilst also seeing how the Word of God speaks to other people.
After completing the 5 lessons you will receive a certificate for your completion.
NB. This is not an accredited course.
What you will need:
– An internet connection and device to access Zoom (computer or phone)
- A notebook.
- A space to focus on the class without distractions, and so that you can take notes.
- A humble and teachable spirit, willing to learn and listen!
If for some reason you cannot attend the Wednesday night class, please let us know so we can make alternative arrangements.
