Christian Ministry Centre is a church that believes in Jesus, a church that connects with God and people.

The church I see in five years:

is vibrant and engages with the community, proactively reaching out;

understands its community and its needs;

is socially relevant BUT biblically based;

culturally sensitive and class inclusive;

a family church that minister’s to all age groups:

providing for families with young children;

supporting a vibrant passionate youth;

honoring  its elderly.

Its people are confident in their God, and understand that they are set free (Jn. 8:32,36). A church raising its people up and releasing them to fulfill God’s call on their lives; stepping out confidently empowered by the Holy Spirit. The church builds from within; but equips its people to reach out and meet the needs of its community with the love and hope that only comes from Jesus. The church is strong and regularly full. Full of people that have an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit and a passion to share their faith (2 Cor.5:17-21).

The church embraces the prophetic and moves in the gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor.12:8-10). Signs and wonders are not only commonplace but also the expected norm! The church is seen as a healing centre; people coming from around the world to minister and to receive healing (1 Pet.2:24; Mk.16:17-18; Mat.816-17).

It will be a centre of equipping and training, offering training in biblical studies and in fields where the church identifies it can make a difference in the community e.g. aged care, business administration or even in broadcast media (Matt.28:18-20).

The property has the services available to allow for future development. The church I see is one that will grow and be able to meet the physical needs of CMC’s broader vision. Options include building: a women’s refuge, a community center, an aged self-care facility, an early childhood center, a training center, larger auditorium or a multi purpose facility.

Finally I see a church that is seen as a centre of influence, by its peers and by the wider community. Supporting/partnering with churches across NSW, other ministries and Para church organisations including: Samaritans Purse, Compassion and African Enterprise. I see CMC likened to a “Spiritual Lighthouse” pointing people to their Creator (Is. 43:15)!

This is the church I see!
